Avon Grove Senior Portraits | Avondale, PA
A Session Ten Years in the Making
I have known Kass since she and my daughter were in ballet together when they were little. Watching her grow up and then getting to photograph her senior portraits was genuinely one of those sessions that reminds me why I do this work. It was personal before we ever picked up a camera.
We Stayed Local and Found Everything We Needed
We kept the whole session right around Avondale, and honestly, we didn’t need to go anywhere else. That’s something I love showing seniors from this area. You don’t have to drive an hour to find something beautiful. Southern Chester County has quiet roads, open fields, old stone walls, and light that does exactly what you want it to do. We also had some fun with smoke bombs, which gave us a few shots that stood out from the rest of the gallery.
Starting with Makeup
I did Kass’s makeup before we started, which set the tone for the whole session. Getting ready together made everything feel relaxed and easy before we even stepped outside. If you’re interested in having makeup done as part of your session, just ask when you reach out.
Wrapping Up in the Studio
After our time outdoors we finished the session in my Avondale portrait studio. The studio portraits gave us a completely different look, something more polished to round out the gallery. That mix of outdoor and studio images is one of my favorite ways to give seniors real variety without making the day feel rushed
