Delcastle Technical High School Senior Photos
When Sita first contacted me for senior photos back in December of 2019, I thought she was planning for the following spring. She was actually reaching out for her 2021 graduation from Delcastle Technical High School in Delaware, and I was genuinely impressed that she was already thinking that far ahead. It said a lot about who she was.
We spent time getting to know each other before the session, talking through exactly what she envisioned. Sita lives in Delaware, but she had seen my work in Chester County and fell in love with the settings I have access to near my studio. I was so excited to share my favorite spots with her.
A Session in Two Parts
We started indoors at my studio, where we focused on her yearbook portrait, clean, classic, and exactly what she needed for that milestone. There is something special about getting that image right. It is the one that will be in the book, the one that gets printed and framed, the one her family will hold onto for decades. We took our time with it.
From there, we headed outside into one of my favorite things about shooting in the fall in Chester County, the light. That warm, golden afternoon glow that wraps around everything and makes every image feel like it belongs in a frame. The changing leaves gave us the most incredible natural backdrop, and Sita moved through it all with such ease and grace.
The Moment Her Family Joined
One of the most meaningful parts of Sita’s session was when her family joined us toward the end of the afternoon. They were there, cheering her on, so proud of everything she had accomplished. We paused and made portraits together, the kind that go beyond a senior session and become something much more important.
This is exactly why I believe so deeply in printing your images. Not just displaying them on a screen or tucking them away in a folder, but having them printed, framed, and on your walls. A wall portrait of your family, taken on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon in the middle of a senior session, can become one of the most precious things you own. You never know which moments will matter most, so we print them all.
She plans on heading to West Virginia University in the fall for forensic chemistry. You go, girl!!!
